Macromedia Fireworks is another "must have" especially if you plan to do animation, image maps or Javascript rollovers. Fireworks is more on the professional side and takes a little learning to get comfortable with the features and interface. The animation feature of Fireworks is about the same as Jasc Animation Shop but has very nice compression and timing features. What I like most about Fireworks is the ease in making image maps and Javascript rollovers, all you have to do is decide where you want your image sliced, use the slice tool and then export the slices. It will even write the HTML file for you! This is a very good tool for anyone who wants to make great graphics! I give this program 5 paintbrushes because it takes some time to learn but is definately worth it! |
