Here's yet another interesting product from Microsoft. It would be natural for you to compare Microsoft Expression Web with the old, established and widely used Front Page Express, but this new product has a lot more to offer. At least that is what Microsoft promises.
In fact, in terms of application and flexibility, it comes more closely to Macromedia's Dreamweaver 8 as a Web development tool. To start with, I would definitely say that the interface is exciting and it provides a number of ways to customize the workspace. Just as other popular web development tools, Express Web comes with a promise of being able to deliver great results without the hassle of coding. But then as it always happens, coding does come in the picture in some way or the other, especially when you need to deliver professional results.
With Microsoft Expression Web, it's fairly simple to create CCS-based XHTML 1.0 transitional conforming websites that are compatible with most browsers across the IT platform. Expression Web makes deployment and maintenance of the websites appear like a song, removing most of the usual encumbrances. And at this point, I would surely say that it scores way above most development tools available today.
The flexibility offered by Expression Web for creative expression is simply tremendous. It has a great support for ASP.NET and can help you make high-quality websites within a short span of time. Overall, it's a great product and is expected to be greatly welcomed by the Internet community.
